Make sure you have chosen the correct battery type .... OR...
I assume the KID has a custom setting (which is the only one I use), and you should be able to set the boost/absorb voltage to 14.6 and float to 13.8. Your KID controller may call these settings something different.
This probably has nothing to do with the battery, but with what settings your controller is setup to use. Your manual should explain how to use the custom settings.
